Patroness of the Archdiocese of New Orleans and the State of Louisiana, Our Lady of Prompt Succor from St. Theresa, Little Flower Church in New Orleans

Mission: The Catholic Church is full of tradition, history, and a faith that believes Jesus Christ was sent to us with love from God, the Father, to be our Savior.  We at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church  wish to grow in our faith as well as share it.  We do this by offering a number of programs that are educational and spiritual.  We hope to spiritually enrich our community with these programs, so that all may continuously grow in the love of Christ.  All of these ministries are available to both parishioners and non-parishioners.
VOCATION COMMITTEE
Because of the present need for priests and religious in the Church, a special and deep appreciation of the value of religious life and priesthood is needed and must be fostered.  This is the task that has been given to the Parish Vocation Committee.

This committee works with the parish priests to foster that special call to church ministries by coordinating all vocation activities to encourage vocations within the parish to the priesthood, the vowed life, and the single life.  This includes education, solicitation, and support for potential vocations.

MOST HOLY TRINITY VOCATION COMMITTEE

The Second Vatican Council recommended that all parish communities further vocation awareness in their parishes. We cannot create a “vocation”; only God can do that. But a few hard working parishioners can, through well planned programs, make the whole community more “vocation conscious.”

Need:  To provide an atmosphere in the parish in which all eligible

people may carefully consider priesthood or religious life as a possible calling for themselves.

Purpose: To assume responsibility of creating this climate of vocation awareness in the parish.

Responsibilities of Committee Members:

To pray daily for increased vocations to religious life and priesthood

To become aware of the various ministries of the Catholic Church, particularly the priesthood and religious life

To offer support and encouragement to priests and religious within the parish

To provide example through personal Christian family life as a means of encouraging vocations

If you are interested in joining our Vocation Committee please call Anna Maria at the Church Office:  892-0642.

EVANGELIZATION COMMITTEE
The mission of the Most Holy Trinity Evangelization Committee is to spread the Good News of our Father’s faithful love and goodness as it is reflected from the mirror of our lives.

We strive to pray with openness and confidence, and live the Gospel values of compassion, forgiveness, integrity and justice.  We also pray to the Holy Spirit to empower us to bring about God’s healing touch as we serve others.  Some of the ways we do this is through:  Novena(s), Mission(s), Retreat(s).

Evangelization is everyone’s mission.  By virtue of our Baptism, we are all called to share our faith.  It should become a way of life.  It takes place any time, any place, under any circumstances.  The fruit of evangelization is changed lived and a changed world.

Would you like to be part of bringing others to a deeper relationship with Christ and His church?  Become part of Most Holy Trinity’s New Evangelization Committee!

Our beloved John Paul II called for a “New Evangelization” in order to bring a new springtime to the Church.  Here’s what it consists of:
1. The New Evangelization is Christocentric.

The new evangelization like all evangelization must be founded on the person of Jesus Christ and His gospel.

2. The New Evangelization is the responsibility of the entire People of God.

That means you!

3. The New Evangelization is directed to individuals and to whole cultures.

“The new evangelization must strive to incarnate Christian values and open the Gospel message to human cultures. Evangelization according to John Paul should lead to, “a civilization of love.”

4. The New Evangelization efforts lead others to the sacraments

The proclamation of the Gospel is the essential first step. Evangelization  involves catechetical instruction, moral doctrine and the social teaching of the Church. Those who are incorporated into Christ are incorporated into His Body. They are joined to God through the sacraments and the Church community.

The Church will become the radiant bride she is meant to be
if all Christians . . .
respond with generosity and holiness
to the calls and challenges of our time.”

If you would like to be part of this great endeavor, please call Anna Maria at the Church office:  892-0642.

CURSILLO
Contact Person:  Ronnie Alonso
Mission: Cursillo is an encounter with Christ.  Correctly applied and overseen, the Cursillo Movement can have positive results in the spiritual revitalization of the world.  The Christ-likeness in a few people is contagious.  The transference of Christ’s values to others in one’s family, school, place of business, etc., is the “Christianizing of Environments” the Cursillo promotes.  The goal of the movement is that Christ be the primary influence in society.  So it is said that the primary objectives of the Cursillo Movement are to develop in adult Christians a consciousness of their power and mission to become leaders in the work of Christian renewal, and to sustain them as they provide Christian “leaven” in civic, social and economic life.  This Christianizing of Environments is what the Cursillo Movement is all about.
